Postdoctoral Researcher: Big Data Study of the Developing Adolescent Brain (Data Center - Image Acquisition)

The Center for Multimodal Imaging and Genetics at the University of California, San Diego invites applicants for a postdoctoral research position in multimodal image acquisition and analysis methods within the data analysis informatics core of a large-scale, national neurobehavioral project. We are looking to build a team to help build the next generation of image acquisition protocols, analysis pipelines, and visualization tools for a newly funded study to follow 10,000 children with longitudinal structural and functional imaging across 19 sites across the US. The study will use a cross-platform Harmonized Human Connectome Protocol, optimized for quantitative accuracy and consistency of imaging biomarkers across scanners and time.   • A Ph.D. or equivalent degree
  • Research experience in multimodal imaging protocol design and implementation
  • Experience with pulse sequence programming for GE, Siemens, and Philips MRI scanners
  • Extensive experience with Matlab, Python, C/C++ or other relevant programming languages
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to plan, prioritize and keep multiple projects/tasks moving forward at once
  • A track record of documented productivity and should be comfortable working in a large team environment
